Invensys is sponsoring a free webinar on Continuous Improvement (CI), featuring Rich Products' Jim Whalen and Rob Bansek of Sightbridge Consulting.  Rich Products has over the past two years embarked on a CI journey.  This webinar will tell his story and successes.

It is interesting that CI continues to be so top-of-mind.  I recently (well, yesterday) participated in a #MESA Un-Conference session on Using Manufacturing Technologies to Support Continuous Improvement.  This 90 minute session was to foster discussion between the MESA members (and interested parties) of vendors, solution providers and end users.

Using OEE to Drive Operational Improvements for Food Processors

On February 20, Invensys and partner Callisto presented an overview with case studies on why OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is useful when establishing a continuous improvement culture.

 

Using examples from customers Campbell Soup and  Mars, Mike Grasley from Callisto discussed why OEE, its fit into DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve), and challenges to implementation of OEE for Continuous Improvement.  Mike finished the presentation with a tangible example, implementing OEE on a packaging line.
